Infrastructure Support

Position Summary

The Infrastructure Level 3 Support will be responsible for supporting the site’s core infrastructure, including virtual farms, operating systems/databases VMs, and site-related IT infrastructure needs. This role will serve as a technical contributor and partner with central IT teams to deliver site related infrastructure support.  The individual will proactively monitor infrastructure health, lead problem resolution, deploy new hardware, and drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Proactively review environment health for performance and capacity issues across infrastructure components (virtual farms, VMs, network, storage and site IT systems).
- Perform day to day task related to deploying VMs, Server hardware, interface with central infrastructure teams to monitor, analyze, and resolve alert/ticket trends to identify and remediate systemic issues.
- Work with application and infrastructure counterparts to deploy, upgrade, maintain infrastructure components.  Will partner with central teams and work to reduce technical debt (legacy) while driving process and technology improvements to enhance site resilience and efficiency.
- Ensure infrastructure components align with enterprise security and compliance policies, such as patch levels, security configurations, etc.
- Serve as primary liaison with local site leadership to align priorities, communicate I&O strategies, and key initiatives.
- Drive investment planning and coordinate infrastructure changes, identifying and closing execution gaps.
- Routinely solve complex infrastructure issues with minimal guidance, applying advanced technical expertise.
- Champion process improvements to optimize infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Maintain compliance with key support metrics, including uptime, SLA adherence, and security requirements.
- Contribute to ongoing infrastructure modernization and digital transformation projects.
- Lead Post-Incident Reviews (PIR), Quality Control (QC) Story reviews, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), ensuring corrective actions are implemented and tracked.

Qualifications & Technical Requirements

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, application engineering, or systems administration.
- Experience supporting manufacturing IT environments is a plus

Skills

- Proficient in English and Spanish
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting virtual environments (VMware)
- Strong knowledge in managing and deploying virtual environments and VMs
- Experience with networking fundamentals, and storage systems
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM incident and change management  (e.g., iCinga, Cherwell)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders on technical priorities.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
